Dandelion Juice and Nettle Infusion

My mom is so amazing. Yesterday she gathered no less than two full kitchen sinks of dandelion leaves and one whole Excalibur (dehydrator) of stinging nettles. It took her hours to wash dandelion leaves one by one and then she squeezed 1,5 litres of fresh juice. We drank half of it right away and she froze the other half for later times when fresh dandelion won’t be so readily available. Nettles too are now all dried and packed in amber glass jars to use for infusions later in the year. Right now Mother Earth is showering us with invaluable gifts of radiant health and well-being. So it’s important that while gathering herbs and plants we do so with utmost respect, reverence and deep gratitude.

    And indeed Nature is being generous right now. I’ve been thriving on dandelion, nettles, plantain, bee pollen, coconut kefir, apples and avocado for 3 weeks now.

      Sok iz skrinje je prav v redu. Se mu skoraj ne pozna, da je bil zamrznjen, primešam ga pa soku iz druge zelenjave. Vse lepo tudi tebi in tvojim!

    Tvoja mami je pa res od sile. 1,5l regratovega soka v enem dnevu! Saj je samo ob sokovniku stala celo večnost, da je “pohrustal” tako zajeten kup zelenja. Tudi sama sem ga pridno pobirala, prala in stiskala ampak več kot 4 dcl ga nisem spravila skupaj. Mi je pa res žal, da ga nisem tudi malo zamrznila za vroče poletne dni preden je zacvetel, saj ni pijače, ki bi te bolj odžejala in poživila.
    Kar se pa nabiranja tiče se pa strinjam s teboj. Vse kar nam podari Narava moramo jemati z globoko hvaležnostjo, in med nabiranjem izkazovati rastlinam našo hvaležnost, srečo, veselje, se z vibracijamo teh čustev povezati z njimi in jih tako še dodatno obogatiti.
    Uživaj ob pogledu na deviško zeleni gozd in rumeno cvetoče travnike.

      Jaz pa čist ponosna, ker pijem tak sok z dodatkom jabolk😦.
      Rumi, za kaj pa se lahko uporabijo cvetovi? Moja mami je vedno pripravljala sirup, sama pa tu in tam okrasim solato….

        Tudi moja babica je delala regratov sirup. Ne spomnim se točno kako, vem le, da je cvetove prevrela v vodi, potem pa dodala veliko medu in limono. Pravila je, da je tak regratov med odlična stvar za jetra. No, sama regratovih cvetov ne nabiram, le popke pojemo skupaj z listi v solatah in tudi ko stiskam sok popkov nikoli ne zavržem, ampak jih stiskam skupaj z listi. Slišala pa sem,da so votla stebelca zelo dobra za diabetike.
